You may have heard of Firefox 1.0, the new open-source, cross platform browser that offers speedy performance, 'tabbed browsing' and compliance with the latest web standards. Firefox has attracted rave reviews, not least because it is generally felt to offer increased security compared to Internet Explorer, and to be less vulnerable to the viruses and spyware that plagues users of Microsoft's browser.
