A Medical Algorithm is any computation, formula, survey, or look-up table, useful in healthcare. More than 7000 algorithms, organized into 45 chapters,
are available as spreadsheets which can be opened in your browser (IE4.1+, Netscape 7.1+ ).
To make this site work correctly both pop-ups and cookies must be enabled .
In addition to the online spreadsheets 40 algorithms are now available online as web-based forms.
Registered users have access to 249 such algorithms. Registration is free.
Developed by the Institute for Algorithmic Medicine , a non-profit Texas Corporation.
This web site is currently designed for Internet Explorer and Netscape on computers running Windows98 and later versions.
The material at this website is intended only for the educational and personal use of health care students and professionals.
It is not intended for persons who have not received appropriate medical training, and should not be used for making clinical decisions
pertaining to patient diagnosis, care, or management.
Algorithms predicting outcomes use data based on the original articles.
Outcomes may vary between institutions and are impacted by newer developments in diagnostics and therapeutics.
These should be validated prior to use
The software at this web site may be freely downloaded and used for non-commercial purposes.
