The InfoRetriever 2005 Spring Release has just been posted! This release includes both program improvements and content updates, including new Practice Guideline summaries, Clinical Rules and Calculators, and InfoPOEM Synopses. We are sending all of our administrators this notice now and will send a notice to your users about this new release in 1 week.

What's new

The InfoRetriever 2005 Spring Release includes over 100 new InfoPOEMs, 11 new Clinical Decision Rules, 163 new Cochrane Reviews, the full 5-Minute Clinical Consult, and much more. The InfoRetriever 2005 Spring Release specifically includes:

· 2,629 InfoPOEMs

· 2,193 Cochrane Systematic Reviews

· The complete 5-Minute Clinical Consult (1,043 summaries and 542 photos)

· 231 Clinical Rules and Calculators

· 751 Evidence-Based Practice Guideline Summaries

· 1,180 Diagnostic Test Calculators

· 1,282 History and Physical Test Calculators

· ICD-9 Look-up tool including the 1,500 most commonly used codes

· 385 Number Needed to Treat (NNT) values compiled and organized by system

InfoRetriever Auto Update Feature

By mid-May we will also have a beta version of the Auto Update Feature available for downloading. This feature will allow you and your users to receive continuous, updated versions of InfoRetriever every time you hot sync your PDA! For more information, please visit the InfoPOEMs website.

We've also recently developed a Quick Facts Sheet (PDF) that will walk your users through installing, downloading, and registering InfoRetriever. This is a tool you can send to your users or simply have on-hand for anyone who needs help with installation.

Installation Instructions

Instructions for downloading the InfoRetriever 2005 Spring Release, as well as detailed installation instructions, can be found on our Getting Started Page. In addition, please not the following information:

· There is no need for your users to re-register InfoRetriever after upgrading to the Spring Release. However, in some cases InfoRetriever on Pocket PC may forget the license code during the upgrade. Pocket PC users may wish to record their license code before performing the upgrade, in order to avoid having to repeat the registration process after the upgrade. To locate your current license code, select File -> Register from within InfoRetriever.
