MD Consult introduces NEW ENHANCEMENTS
· Improved printing
· Upgraded search features
o Spellchecking
o A new "sort by" drop-down box
o Better phrase interpretation

Improved Printing: When printing pages, images now appear full size and in the appropriate location within the text.
Spellchecking is now incorporated into query interpretation. Terms are checked against a comprehensive Medical and English language dictionary. If the term isn't found, we'll offer alternative spellings and give you the option of searching again with the correct spelling.
A new "Sort by" drop-down box in the Advanced Search area of MD Consult is presented at the top of each results page to make it easier to find the kind of results you're looking for.
Better Phrase Interpretation: MD Consult's search function now mimics the behavior of popular web search engines using the Boolean AND and OR operators. So a search for "heart attack renal disease" will be interpreted as "heart attack AND renal disease." This search improvement means you'll see more results from your searches. Relevancy ranking ensures that documents containing the exact phrase will receive highest placement in the results. You can also search for exact phrases by placing your phrase to search in quotes.

· Ravel: Clinical Laboratory Medicine was removed from the MDC Core Edition
· Kumar: Robbins and Cotran: Pathologic Basis of Disease, 7/e (2005 Saunders) has been added to MDC Core Edition. It replaces Cotran, 6/e (1999 Saunders).
· Gage: Mosby's Dental Drug Reference, 7/e (2005 Mosby) has been added to MDC Dental Collection. It replaces Gage, 6/e (2003 Mosby).

· Ferri: Ferri's Clinical Advisor: Instant Diagnosis and Treatment, 2005/e (2005 Mosby) has been added to MDC Core Edition. It replaces Ferri 2004 (2004 Mosby).
· Townsend: Sabiston Textbook of Surgery, 17/e (2004 Saunders) has been added to MDC Core Edition and MDC Merck Medicus Abridged Edition. It replaces Townsend 16/e (2001 Saunders).

· Abeloff: Clinical Oncology, 3/e (2004 Churchill Livingstone) has been added to MDC Core Edition and MDC Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine Edition. It replaces Abeloff 2/e (2000 Churchill Livingstone).
· Albert: Clinical Respiratory Medicine, 2/e (2004 Mosby) has been added to the MDC Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine. It replaces Albert 1/e (1999 Mosby).

PATIENT HANDOUTS:
· Second 2004 semi-annual update of Clinical Reference Systems Patient Handout Collection was updated on MD Consult Products. The updated CRS Advisors include 256 new topics and illnesses and 2508 revised ones. A NEW CRS Advisor was also added to MD Consult Products
· 2004 update of American Academy of Family Physicians Patient Handout Collection was updated on MD Consult Products. There are 103 new handouts and 423 updated handouts.
